Snow Cave
A snow cave can be constructed with only an hour or so of work. First start by digging into a snow drift at an upward angle so that the room you dig out is higher than the entrance hole. This angle will allow the heat to be captured at the highest point of the chamber and the cooler air to drift down the chamber. Use evergreen boughs for bedding. Don't completely seal the door to allow for ventilation.
