So what if you are not stranded? What if you have decided to go off the grid and fend for yourself in the wilderness. Perhaps you have found others with the same desire and you would like to create a village combining modern and privative technology. Even if this idea seems a bit extreme for your liking, what about a backyard wood-fired oven for making pizza? Maybe a meat smoker. Or a pottery wheel.
